Amara Aesthetics - Wi-Fi Solutions & Wired Network Overhaul
Overview
Amara Aesthetics, a trusted name in aesthetic medical care in Dublin for nearly two decades, was experiencing significant network-related issues in its five-story Georgian premises. Structural limitations, such as thick walls and outdated wiring contributed to unreliable Wi-Fi, dropped calls, and ongoing maintenance difficulties. These challenges were beginning to affect both staff efficiency and the overall client experience.
Our goal was to implement a comprehensive network solution that would resolve existing issues and support future growth, all while respecting the unique limitations of a heritage building.
Key Challenges
Inconsistent Wi-Fi Coverage: Structural elements of the building caused frequent wireless dead zones and reduced performance in treatment rooms and lower floors.
Call Reliability Issues: The existing VOIP phone system frequently dropped calls due to poor network connectivity, particularly in areas lacking stable wired access.
Disorganized Cabling: Years of layered installations had left behind obsolete cables and a cluttered infrastructure, complicating troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Project Implementation
1. Consultation & Site Assessment
We conducted a thorough on-site evaluation to understand the scope of issues and determine the most effective approach. It was clear that minor fixes would not suffice a full infrastructure overhaul was required.
2. Broadband Service Verification
We coordinated with Amara’s broadband provider to confirm that the incoming connection was performing at optimal levels. This ensured a stable foundation before internal systems were addressed.
3. Structured Cabling Cleanup
Redundant and outdated cabling was removed, and the remaining infrastructure was carefully reorganized. This improved system clarity, reduced signal interference, and prepared the site for efficient future maintenance.
4. Enterprise-Grade Wi-Fi Installation
We deployed enterprise-level Wi-Fi access points across all five floors, ensuring consistent, high-speed connectivity throughout the building including in previously problematic areas.
5. VOIP Phone Network Integration
While Amara’s existing VOIP system remained in place, we fully integrated it into the upgraded network by providing direct wired connections. This dramatically improved call stability and internal communication without the need for hardware replacement.
